Sheath Finish (SF)
Specifies the finish on the sheath of the sensor. This does not include the surface finish of any fittings used in the sensor/assembly.
The microinch finish values given below are average values (Ra) and do not necessarily eliminate all pits, grooves, defects in the surface finish.
The “PF” option codes are preferred for specifying surface finish. These “SF” codes will still be honored for series 100, 200, 300, wsp however, new applications should use the “PF” codes.
| Codes | Preferred “PF Code | Description |
| SF01 | PFWM32 | 32 Ra max finish mechanical (= 180 grit finish) |
| SF02 | PFWM20 | 20 Ra max finish mechanical |
| SF03 | PFWM10 | 10 Ra max finish mechanical |
| SF04 | PFWE32 | 32 Ra max finish mechanical plus electropolish |

Sheath Certifications (SR)
|
Sheath Coating (SC)
Specifies a coating on the sheath of the sensor. Does not specify any coatings on other fittings.

| Codes | Description |
| SC02 | TEFLON coating (1/4” dia only) |
Sheath Bending (SB)
Sheath bends can only be specified on certain types of sensors. Series 100, 200 sensors may be bent.
Series 300, WSP sensors cannot be bent.
Sheath bend has 2 codes to specify
First option is bend angle (0-90 deg range, ±5 deg accuracy)
Specify in one-degree increments
For example, for a 30 deg bend specify bend angle of 30, for a 5 deg bend, specify 05
Second option is bend location, specified as length from tip of sensor
Bend must be a minimum of 3 inches from tip of sensor or from sensor fittings
Specify in .1 inch increments
Example: for a bend starting 4.6 inches from tip, specify a location option of 046
Format = SBXXYYY
XX = bend angle in degrees
YYY = bend location in .1 inch increments
For reference, the bend radius is dependent on the sheath diameter as follows:
| Sheath Dia | Bend Radius |
| .250 (1/4”) | 0.75 |
| .188 (3/16”) | 0.438 |
| .125 (1/8”) | 0.375 |
Sheath Miscellaneous options (SZ) These options are used to specify miscellaneous options for sheaths. More than one of these options can be specified at a time.
