These sensors are specifically designed for cold environments (down to -196°C). Common applications include cold and ultra-cold storage, refrigerators, freezers, and cryogenic/liquid nitrogen applications.  They are completely waterproof, can be fully immersed and variations include mini sensors and a secondary standard probe for laboratory/calibration applications.

The 23436 Secondary Standard temperature sensor is designed for low temperature use in laboratory and calibration applications. The sensor utilizes a platinum wire RTD.

Freezer Monitor 23611

Burns Engineering’s 23611 is an ideal solution for freezer and low-temperature environment monitoring. The 23611 combines a miniature waterproof high accuracy RTD sensor with an analog or digital transmitter, housed in a polycarbonate enclosure. Accurate to ± 0.20°C between –196°C and 200°C when paired with a T55 transmitter featuring matched calibration. The transmitter can be programmed with a delay to reduce false alarms, and can be used with a chart recorder. The sensor can be installed through the wall of the freezer or slipped between the door and the seal. Primary application is to provide high accuracy temperature measurement/verification in freezers.
